Plain-English answers
The questions people ask before they sign up.
If your question isn't here, email [email protected]. A real person answers every message.
The basics
In one sentence, what is this?
A quiet little helper that lives on your computer, watches what your AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, others) are costing you, and trims the bill. Five dollars a month. You get a short email each week explaining what it did.
I'm not technical. Is this for me?
Yes — as long as you or someone on your team uses an AI tool for work. You don't need to set anything up yourself. After you pay the $5, we send a short email. If you get stuck installing, just reply — a real person will walk you through it, usually on a 10-minute screen-share.
If the only AI you pay for is a flat subscription like $20/month ChatGPT Plus, there's nothing to trim — your bill is already flat. BrainOfBrains shines when someone on your team is building something with an AI, so the bill can go up or down.
How do I cancel?
One click. Your receipt email has a "manage subscription" link that takes you to a page where you can cancel instantly. No phone call, no survey, no "are you sure." The helper stays on your computer — you just stop being charged.
Price and refund
What's the refund promise, exactly?
If the helper doesn't save you at least $50 on your AI bill in your first month, email us and we refund the $5. We send you the detailed report anyway, so you can see what we found and decide what to do with it.
Why only $5 a month? What's the catch?
No catch. Helping one more person costs us almost nothing once the helper is built. Lots of people paying $5 pays the bills and funds improvements. Your price stays locked for as long as you stay subscribed.
Is there a bigger version for a big company?
Yes. If you're at a company with many teams, we do custom installs — usually a phone call first, then a tailored quote. Email
[email protected] and we'll have a short conversation.
Your data and privacy
Does my data leave my computer?
No. The helper runs on your machine. It watches your AI bills locally and keeps a small private log. We never upload your code, your chats, your documents, or your data.
The only thing we see is what you type in your email when you write us. You decide what to share.
What if BrainOfBrains goes out of business?
Nothing changes. The helper lives on your computer — it's not a website you log into. It keeps running even if we disappear. There's no server that can be turned off, no login that can stop working.
Practical
How long does the install take?
About ten minutes. If you or someone on your team is comfortable with a computer, you can follow the email instructions on your own. If not, reply to the welcome email and we'll hop on a short screen-share to finish it together.
Which AI tools does it work with?
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and most of the others. The kinds of waste we find look pretty similar across all of them, so the helper works across the board.
What kind of computer do I need?
Mac is the smoothest experience today. Windows and Linux also work for most setups. If you're not sure whether yours is supported, email us first — we'll check before you pay.
What if I just want to try it first without paying?
If you have a technical person on your team, there's a free one-shot scan you can run. It looks at your AI bill and prints a plain-English report. The
home page has the one-line instructions. The $5/month version is the same thing, except it keeps watching forever.
